Newly cast rubber rollers should not be put into use immediately. Due to the unstable internal structure of newly cast rubber rollers, if they are put into use immediately, their service life will be easily shortened. Therefore, newly cast rubber rollers just taken out of the cylinder should be left for a certain period of time to allow them to maintain a relatively stable state after being exposed to the ambient temperature and humidity. This can increase the toughness of the rubber and improve the durability effect.
The idle rollers should be stored correctly. After cleaning the rubber rollers to be used, they should be wrapped with plastic film and placed on the roller rack. Do not stack them randomly or lean them against the wall by hand to avoid unnecessary damage to the rubber. When transporting the used rubber rollers to the processing and casting process, do not subject them to random pressure or heavy pressure, and keep the roller cores from being eccentric or bent to ensure the normal use of the roller cores.
The shaft heads and bearings of the rubber rollers should be well lubricated. We know that the precision of the shaft heads and bearings of the rubber rollers directly affects the effect of ink transfer and ink distribution. If the shaft heads and bearings of the rubber rollers are worn and have gaps due to poor lubrication, it will inevitably lead to uneven color of the printing ink. At the same time, bad situations such as rubber bouncing and slipping may also cause printing bar marks. General printing companies maintain the equipment once a week, including the maintenance of the printing rubber rollers. The maintenance methods are as follows:
1. After completing the production operation every day, the rubber rollers should be carefully cleaned twice and washed.
2. Designated chemical reagents (such as industrial alcohol) must be used to clean the printing rubber rollers, and corrosive solvents should not be used.
3. Remove the rubber rollers during holidays to prevent compression deformation.
4. To protect the surface of the printing rubber rollers, wrap them in newsprint and store them in a ventilated and shady place.
Therefore, the shaft heads and bearings of the rubber rollers should be regularly filled with lubricant to prevent normal wear of the rubber rollers and ensure the printing quality. In offset printing technology, the key is to control the balance between water and ink. The ink-water balance depends on the key components of the rubber rollers and ink rollers, and their quality directly affects the product quality, especially in gravure printing, embossing and flexographic printing.
